On June 24, in Lang Son City (Lang Son Province), heavy rain occurred over a large area, causing flooding on several roads such as Ba Trieu, Ngo Quyen, and Tran Quang Khai. These are places that are often flooded when heavy rain lasts for a long time, making it difficult for many vehicles to travel.

In particular, at the Ngam bridge area, flood water rushed over the bridge, making it impossible for people to see the road. However, some vehicles still passed through, posing a risk of being swept away by the water.

Similarly, this morning, June 25, people also recorded images of a passenger bus braving the rushing water and passing through the overflow tunnel at Phuc An, Yen Binh District, Yen Bai Province.

The above image was assessed by the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) as people "playing with natural disasters".

"There have been many cases of disregard for life when going through spillways during the flood season, leaving behind tragic consequences. We recommend that people not be subjective and absolutely avoid going through spillways, fishing, and collecting firewood on the river... during the flood season to ensure safety," the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention and Control emphasized.

Also on June 25, the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control issued a notice on proactively responding to and minimizing damage caused by heavy rain and the risk of flash floods and landslides.

The Standing Office of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control requested the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of the northern mountainous provinces to urgently implement the contents of closely monitoring forecasts and warnings, promptly informing authorities at all levels and people to proactively prevent and avoid; mobilize forces to support people to overcome consequences and stabilize their lives.

Deploy shock troops to inspect and review residential areas along rivers, streams, low-lying areas, and areas at high risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides to proactively organize the relocation and evacuation of people to safe places; prepare forces and means for rescue when required.

Organize on-duty seriously and regularly report to the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and the Office of the National Committee for Incident Response, Natural Disasters and Search and Rescue.
