According to the Hanoi National University's entrance exam statistics, in the first aptitude test this year, the highest score of the candidate was 126/150, followed by 125 for the second place.

The first round of the Hanoi National University's HSA took place on March 15-16 at 8 testing locations: Institute of Digital Training and Testing (Cau Giay and Hoa Lac campuses), University of Technology, Natural Sciences, Thang Long, Thai Binh, and Nam Dinh Technical Education.

The total number of candidates registered for the exam was 11,027, the number of candidates who completed the application form correctly and came to take the exam was 10,958; reaching 99.4%, 1 candidate was disciplined and suspended from the exam.

Preliminary statistics show that the highest score of the first round of the exam was 126/150. It is predicted that the average score of this year's competency assessment test will be higher than previous years because candidates can choose the third part of the exam to develop their personal abilities and strengths.

This year’s competency assessment test has many innovations in line with the new generaleducation program. Candidates must complete two compulsory sections: Mathematics and data processing (50 questions, 75 minutes), Literature - Language (50 questions, 60 minutes) and an optional section of Science or English (50 questions, 60 minutes).

For the Science section, candidates must choose 3 out of 5 topics in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, history and geography. Initial findings show that students in the city choose the third part, English, more than the Science section. Meanwhile, candidates in rural areas choose the Science section more.

The exam organizer also recommends that candidates in the following exams need to have a scientific and systematic study and review plan instead of getting bogged down by promotional exam preparation groups. Accordingly, in the past 2 days, some exam preparation groups impersonating candidates (using fake accounts) "reviewed" the 501st round of the Competency Assessment exam to advertise and attract candidates to prepare for the exam.

Immediately after the first exam session ended at 11:00 a.m. on March 15, some fake accounts posted scores of 126/150 and 135/150, while no candidate achieved these scores on the first day of the exam.

Therefore, candidates need to pay attention and develop a suitable personal review plan for the next competency assessment exams.

The next 502nd exam will take place on March 29 and 30 in Hanoi, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, with nearly 20,000 candidates registering to take the exam.

The HSA is one of the two largest private exams in the country, with about 90 universities using the results for admission. Last year, the exam had more than 100,600 candidates, a record high.
