Average income per capita in ethnic minority areas reaches 44.94 million VND/year

According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, by the end of 2023, the average income per capita of Lam Dong province reached 85.2 million VND (an increase of 27.7% compared to 2019). In particular, the average income per capita of ethnic minority areas also increased significantly, reaching 44.94 million VND/person/year (an increase of 12.5% compared to 2019).

Currently, there are no more hungry households in the province. The poverty rate has decreased sharply over the years, to 1.09% according to the new multidimensional standard, in which ethnic minority poor households decreased from 5.58% (in 2019) to 3.24% (down 2.34%). In the period of 2019 - 2024, the poverty rate of ethnic minority households will decrease by 2 - 3%/year.
