Deputy Minister of Finance was introduced as Chairman of Quang Ninh province

(Dan Tri) - The Secretariat assigned and appointed Mr. Bui Van Khang, Deputy Minister of Finance, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, and introduced him to be elected as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

On the morning of September 22, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to implement the Secretariat's decision on personnel work.

Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Minister of Finance; Mr. Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee; and leaders of agencies and units in the province.

On behalf of the Secretariat, Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong handed over the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Bui Van Khang, member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Minister of Finance , to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. The Secretariat also introduced him to be elected as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Duong congratulated and highly appreciated Mr. Khang's capacity, political courage and working method. Mr. Duong believed that with his experience working in Quang Ninh and the support of the collective, the new Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee would soon get up to speed with the work, promote a sense of responsibility, and contribute to the further development of the province.

Provincial Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang thanked the Central Committee for its attention and congratulated Mr. Khang on his return to work in the locality. Mr. Thang expressed his belief that the new Deputy Secretary will work with the provincial leadership to promote solidarity and successfully carry out the tasks of 2025 and the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Bui Van Khang expressed his honor and pride at being entrusted with the new responsibility by the Politburo and the Secretariat. He emphasized that he will make efforts with the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee to focus on leading and directing the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress, the Central Party's strategic resolutions and completing the socio-economic development targets for 2025.

He pledged to run the two-level local government transparently, disciplinedly, honestly, and effectively, with the motto "clear work, clear people, clear responsibilities, clear time, and clear results". The new Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes to continue receiving the support and companionship of the Central Government, provincial leaders, generations of cadres, and people to fulfill the assigned tasks.
