(PLVN) - According to Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi, up to now, the state budget revenue has reached 85% of the estimate, however, due to the impact of storm No. 3, the task of collecting the budget in the last quarter of the year is very difficult...

On the morning of September 27, informing the press, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi said that 2024 has passed with 3/4 of the journey, with more advantages than difficulties. Thanks to that, all aspects of the Finance sector's work also have many advantages to complete assigned political tasks.

However, storm No. 3 in some northern provinces caused severe damage to people and property, affecting the socio-economic development plan in general and financial targets in particular. "Therefore, the tasks of the finance sector, especially budget collection, in the fourth quarter and the last quarter of 2024 will still face many difficulties and hardships...", the Deputy Minister noted.

Regarding the results of state budget collection, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chi said that up to now, the budget collection in the first three quarters of the year has reached about 85% of the estimate, in which local and central budget collections have both achieved good progress.

With the efforts of the entire industry and society, according to the Deputy Minister of Finance, it is forecasted that in 2024, the Finance sector will complete the task of collecting the State budget to ensure resources to serve the spending tasks approved by the National Assembly, as well as serve the unexpected spending tasks.

“The task of the Ministry of Finance is still to focus on collecting the correct and sufficient budget revenues and achieving the highest collection task, ensuring that the target is met. If exceeded, it will meet the spending requirements for development investment tasks, infrastructure construction, key projects…”, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi affirmed.

Regarding the upcoming situation, the Deputy Minister said that at the National Assembly session taking place in October, the Ministry of Finance submitted to the National Assembly many important projects, including 2 Law projects (VAT Law and 1 Law amending 7 laws); At the same time, there are 3 laws submitted to the National Assembly for discussion and comments, namely the Corporate Income Tax Law, the Special Consumption Tax Law and the Law on Management and Investment of State Capital in Enterprises...

Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi and representatives of functional units of the Ministry of Finance also answered issues of interest to the press such as: Tax incentives for the press; Reduction of land rent; Prohibition of exit for cases of tax arrears; Trading floors declaring and paying taxes on behalf of business households and individuals doing business on the floor; Taxation on second real estate; Minimum taxable revenue for business households; Inspection and announcement of inspection results....

Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chi awarded certificates of merit from the Minister of Finance to 5 collectives and 22 individuals with outstanding achievements in information and communication work in the field of state management of the Ministry of Finance in 20232 and the first months of 2024...
