On the afternoon of June 10 in Paris, during a bilateral activity program in the French Republic, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received National Secretary of the French Communist Party Fabien Roussel.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent greetings and regards from General Secretary To Lam and Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu to the National Secretary and leaders of the French Communist Party; affirming that the Party and State of Vietnam highly value the comprehensive strategic partnership with France, in which cooperation with the French Communist Party is one of the traditional foundations.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the National Secretary of the French Communist Party were pleased to see that the Vietnam-France relationship has been developing well since the upgrade to a comprehensive strategic partnership, as demonstrated by regular visits by leaders of the two countries and signed agreements in all fields.

The two sides also highly appreciated the results of cooperation between the two Parties through regular delegation exchanges; maintaining the mechanism of rotating the organization of theoretical seminars between the two Parties; cooperation at multilateral political party forums...

Wishing the French Communist Party to have an increasingly important position and role in French politics and society, the Prime Minister said that Vietnam always remembers the support and assistance of the Communist Party and progressive people of France for Vietnam's past struggle for national independence and reunification and the current cause of national construction, development and protection; thanked the French Communist Party for always preserving relics related to the Communist Party of Vietnam, the relationship between the two Parties, especially the monument of President Ho Chi Minh - one of the founders of the French Communist Party - in the city of Montreuil.

The Prime Minister suggested that the Communist Parties of the two countries continue to strengthen cooperation, maintain delegation exchanges, share information, communicate and exchange experiences in Party building, educate the younger generation about the friendship between the two countries, two peoples, and two Communist Parties; closely coordinate at multilateral political-party forums; actively contribute to promoting the Vietnam-France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and support relations between localities, organizations, associations, and people of the two countries.

In particular, the Prime Minister asked the French Communist Party to support the search and collection of documents and artifacts related to the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh to contribute to the construction of the Communist Party of Vietnam Museum on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, help develop exhibition content and support training for the Museum's staff.
