According to the special correspondent of Vietnam News Agency, during his official visit to Australia, on the afternoon of March 7 (local time), in Canberra, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received leader of the Australian Liberal Party Peter Dutton.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his delight at his first official visit to Australia and the opportunity to meet Liberal Party Leader Peter Dutton; emphasizing that the Vietnamese Government and people wish to further consolidate and deepen relations between the two countries, and work together to implement the newly established Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, opening up new prospects for cooperation in the coming time.
The two leaders agreed to increase delegation exchanges and high-level contacts; promote Party-to-party diplomacy and people-to-people exchanges; create conditions for friendship associations of the two countries to organize cultural, sports and charity activities; enhance practical cooperation between localities; promote cooperation in the field of gender equality and protection of rights for vulnerable groups...
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his hope that the Liberal Party of Australia will continue to support policies that create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live, work and study in Australia, contributing to Australia's development and the relationship between the two countries.
Liberal Party Leader Peter Dutton highly appreciated the official visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to Australia; affirmed that Australia attaches importance to the relationship with Vietnam, considering Vietnam one of the important partners in the Asia-Pacific region, regardless of which party in Australia is in power.
Recalling the establishment of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries in 2018 when the Liberal Party was in power, Mr. Peter Dutton affirmed his support and appreciation for the two countries' continued upgrading of their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; committed to continuing efforts to develop and further enrich the contents of the newly established Vietnam - Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
