Spanish Prime Minister wants to cooperate with Vietnam on subway and metro

At the meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to further deepen the strategic partnership with Spain; and thanked the Spanish Government for supporting Vietnam in overcoming the consequences of Typhoon Yagi.

In order to promote bilateral relations, the head of the Vietnamese Government proposed that the two sides increase the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level ones, and soon sign a Joint Action Program between the two Governments in the new period.

At the same time, Spain hopes to help the remaining EU countries ratify the EVIPA Agreement soon, and urge the EC to soon remove the IUU yellow card for Vietnamese seafood. Strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in the fields of transport infrastructure, renewable energy, science and technology, and agriculture.

Agreeing with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's proposals, the Spanish Prime Minister suggested that the two sides cooperate in the fields of infrastructure such as subways, urban railways, and urban planning.

In an exchange with Singaporean Prime Minister Laurence Wong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh discussed directions to strengthen relations in the coming time, such as considering upgrading relations, promoting delegation exchanges, high-level and all-level contacts as well as bilateral cooperation mechanisms.

In particular, building new generation Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP) in a green and digital direction.

The two sides also need to strengthen infrastructure, logistics and digital connectivity between the two economies; cooperate in developing clean energy and renewable energy systems, promote the formation of power grids in ASEAN; and share experiences in building international financial centers.

At the meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked the Canadian Government for supporting Vietnam in overcoming the consequences of Typhoon Yagi and invited the Canadian Prime Minister to visit Vietnam soon.

The two sides agreed to continue strengthening bilateral relations, especially the exchange of delegations at all levels, developing economic, trade, investment, ODA cooperation, and training of peacekeeping forces; and more effectively exploiting the strengths of the CPTPP, of which both countries are members.
