(NLDO)- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested to continue reviewing and rearranging units of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security , according to the Central Government's policy.


On the afternoon of December 30, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Government's Steering Committee to review the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently", chaired a meeting with the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security to review and reorganize the apparatus of the two ministries. Also attending were Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and leaders of ministries, branches and central agencies.

Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed and highly appreciated the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security for seriously complying with and promptly implementing the leadership and direction of all levels in restructuring the apparatus; requested the two ministries to coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs to promptly absorb opinions to complete the first-step report to submit to competent authorities and continue to urgently study the next step.

Stating the goal of organizing the apparatus "Refined - Lean - Strong - Effective - Effective - Efficient", the Prime Minister requested to continue reviewing and arranging units and agencies according to the conclusions, policies and orientations of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Central Steering Committee on summarizing Resolution 18-NQ/TW, the Steering Committee of the Government, in accordance with the specific nature of the military and police forces; ensuring no tasks are missed, overcoming the overlap and duplication of tasks, better completing the functions and tasks of agencies, reducing focal points, reducing intermediaries, reducing administrative procedures, strengthening the grassroots; promoting digital transformation, strengthening database building, researching and developing artificial intelligence for dual use.

The Prime Minister suggested continuing to summarize and promote good lessons, valuable experiences, and effective methods of the two ministries in streamlining and streamlining the organization and apparatus in recent years. During the process of restructuring the apparatus, tasks must still be promoted, implemented, and completed, without interruption of work.

Regarding the Ministry of Public Security, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the fields of crime prevention, population management, judicial records, ensuring traffic order and safety; strengthen the development of the security industry to serve crime prevention and combat, protect national security, social order and safety and socio-economic development; research, develop and complete the project to arrange and streamline the local police apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently.
