With a system of shopping malls, supermarkets, convenience stores, and a market system developing in the direction of socialization, trade and service activities in the province continue to develop steadily, maintaining high growth momentum. According to Ms. Phan Thi Khanh Duyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, in the first 4 months of 2025, enterprises, shopping malls, and supermarkets actively implemented promotional programs, stabilized the market, combined traditional and e-commerce to attract people to shop. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue is estimated at VND 126,144 billion, an increase of 14.8% over the same period in 2024.

According to Mr. Doan Hong Tuoi, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Uyen City, in charge of operating the City Party Committee, in recent years, with the goal of making services a spearhead economic sector, promoting resources, taking advantage of the support of the province, businesses in the area continue to improve facilities serving trade, services and tourism in both quantity and scale. In particular, the city's trade and services industry focuses on food and beverage services, entertainment with improved scale and quality of service; providing various types of food and beverage services to serve people and tourists, especially thousands of workers living and working in the area.

Mr. Vo Chi Thanh, Vice Chairman of Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee, said that recently the city has focused on directing the implementation of commercial infrastructure development planning, reviewing and supplementing local plans to ensure consistency and synchronization, as a basis for calling for and attracting investment projects and building large, modern commercial centers. Along with that, the city has allocated capital to implement projects to renovate and embellish traditional business streets into bustling commercial areas, ensuring environmental sanitation, and developing services in the direction of commercial civilization.

In addition, the city actively supports businesses and units to develop modern e-commerce services through coordination to bring business and trade types onto digital platforms to connect and support businesses and business establishments to consume products on e-commerce platforms. The city also focuses on developing support services and the fastest and most convenient electronic payments, towards improving service quality and competitiveness, ensuring the best service for the needs of goods and services for production and people's lives.

Stimulate consumption

Since the beginning of 2025, to stimulate consumer demand, businesses have stepped up purchasing and production of essential goods to promptly supply people during peak days. The shelves of many supermarkets and markets in the province are full of goods, accompanied by many promotional programs.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, representative of Go! Binh Duong Supermarket, said that during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, the supermarket will discount up to 50% on over 1,000 products, mainly fresh food, processed food, beverages, and fashion food. All products are strictly inspected by the supermarket for quality and origin to ensure the health safety of consumers. The supermarket supports customers with technology solutions such as scanning QR codes to trace the origin of products; applying smart sales management software; scanning codes to pay online... on a digital platform, thereby contributing to gradually changing people's shopping and consumption habits in a civilized and modern direction.

Mr. Duong Bao Khuong, Deputy Director of Co.opmart Binh Duong Supermarket (Thu Dau Mot City), said that the supermarket has been strengthening food quality inspection. All food items, especially fresh foods such as vegetables, meat, fish, etc., are strictly inspected by the supermarket for origin, food safety and hygiene certificates, and strictly follow preservation procedures. The supermarket is committed to continuing to accompany customers, contributing to building a healthy, safe and sustainable consumer environment.
