On the afternoon of October 30, Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat, inspected the flood situation and visited and presented gifts to patients and families affected by floods in Hue City.

In Thanh Thuy ward ( Hue city), Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu warmly encouraged and deeply shared the great losses and damages that people are suffering due to floods.

Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu said that despite being busy working abroad, General Secretary To Lam still followed the developments of the floods, expressed his concern and worry, and sent letters of inquiry, encouragement, and deep sympathy to the people, cadres, and soldiers across the country who are making efforts to respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu commended the efforts, urgent, drastic, dedicated and highly responsible participation of Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front , armed forces, officers, soldiers and people in proactively preventing, combating and minimizing the harmful effects of natural disasters.

Many officers, soldiers and people, regardless of danger, stayed at key points day and night, supported the evacuation of people, and provided food and medicine to deeply flooded and isolated areas, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, mutual love and deep affection of the Vietnamese people.

On the same day, comrade Tran Cam Tu and the delegation visited Hue Central Hospital, which was affected by the flood. At the same time, he directly visited and presented gifts to 20 patients who had to be moved from the first floor to the hospital's auditorium due to the flood; encouraged the medical staff to make efforts to overcome difficulties, maintain medical examination and treatment, and ensure health care for the people.
