Implementing the Prime Minister's decision and the plan to implement the 2025 Occupational Safety and Health Action Month of the Central Steering Committee for Occupational Safety and Health Action Month, the Ministry of National Defense directed the Signal Corps to coordinate with agencies, units, and the Armed Forces in Hanoi to organize a rally to respond to the Occupational Safety and Health Action Month with the theme "Strengthening assessment, identifying risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace", responding to the Workers' Month with the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering into a new era".

In 2024, under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and Party committees, commanders, and agencies at all levels in the entire army, comprehensively and focusedly deployed occupational safety and health work and occupational disease prevention and control, achieving many practical results.

Notably: The system of relevant legal documents is always supplemented and improved; creating an important legal corridor for increasingly effective and practical occupational safety and health work. A number of targets of the Program of activities on occupational safety and health, occupational disease prevention for the period 2021 - 2025 have been achieved and exceeded the set requirements (an increase of over 8% in the number of establishments with working environment monitoring, over 70% of establishments with occupational disease-causing factors inspected and 100% of occupational accidents and serious technical incidents investigated/handled according to regulations; the number of occupational accidents decreased by 50%; some units did not have any occupational accidents or fire and explosion incidents.

Major General Nguyen Van Tri, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Signal Corps and Colonel Nguyen Van De, Head of the National Defense Trade Union presented gifts from the National Defense Trade Union and the Signal Corps to individuals who suffered from work-related accidents and occupational diseases.

Praising and congratulating the achievements of the Signal Corps and collectives and individuals in the entire army who have been awarded by the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for their outstanding achievements in occupational safety and health in 2024, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh emphasized: Party committees and commanders of agencies and units continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement directives, circulars, and instructions of the Government and the Ministry of National Defense on occupational safety and health in the Army; raise awareness and responsibility of leaders, commanders at all levels, and mass organizations for occupational safety and health work.

For the focal units under the Ministry of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh requested to organize a rally to respond to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health combined with the organization of Workers' Month 2025 from May 1 to May 31 with the theme: "Strengthening assessment, identifying risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace" and "Vietnamese workers take the lead in entering a new era".

Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh also noted that activities in response to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health and the Month of Workers must be implemented practically, effectively, widely and not allow occupational safety incidents to occur. Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen the promotion, dissemination and education of occupational safety and health laws; continue to effectively implement emulation movements, encourage union members and workers to constantly innovate, have many initiatives to improve techniques, apply modern technology to production, business and work; contribute to increasing labor and work productivity, successfully performing the tasks of agencies, units and enterprises.

Regularly improve and maintain the orderly and effective operation of the Steering Committee for Occupational Safety and Health, Prevention of Occupational Diseases at all levels; the safety and hygiene network at units. Review the classification of workers, paying special attention to units with many occupations in arduous, toxic, dangerous and especially arduous, toxic, dangerous fields with high risks of unsafety. Promote administrative procedure reform, digital transformation in occupational safety and health work, improve the efficiency of technology investment, and improve working conditions. Fully implement policies and regimes for workers, especially prioritizing arduous, toxic, dangerous occupations and jobs.
