(Bqp.vn) - On the afternoon of December 3, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense inspected the 927th Air Force Regiment, 371st Air Force Division, Air Defense - Air Force Service on preparations for the welcoming flight mission at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024. Accompanying him were representatives of leaders and commanders of a number of functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense.

Speaking at the inspection, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh praised the spirit of effort, practice, and determination to complete the flight mission to welcome the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 of the officers and soldiers of the entire unit; paying special attention to training and ensuring safety during the preparation for the mission of the SU-30MK2 aircraft. Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh said that the unit had done a good job of ensuring and organizing flight training according to the opening ceremony scenario, and through the joint training sessions between the forces, it was ensured to match the plan and ensure absolute safety.
Emphasizing the significance and importance of the exhibition to be held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh requested the entire unit to continue to concentrate and prepare well for the tasks on the opening day of the exhibition; in which it is necessary to pay attention to ensuring good health and grasping the ideological situation, promptly encouraging and motivating the pilots participating in the celebratory flight before, during and after performing the mission. The members of the SU-30MK2 squadron perform the task of strictly following discipline during flight training, making the most effective use of flight hours, including during training flights and mission flights.
Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh also requested the unit to come up with solutions to ensure technical safety at the highest and most comprehensive level; mobilize the best forces to participate in the mission, noting that special solutions are needed to prepare for all situations, thereby training the bravery and skills of military pilots controlling the SU-30MK2.

Reporting on the preparations for the welcoming flight mission at the opening of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, Colonel Nguyen Quang Hai, Commander of the 927th Air Force Regiment, said that based on the exhibition's welcoming flight plan, the Regiment has developed a flight training plan and a theoretical study plan before participating in flight practice for the reinforced pilot force of the 923rd and 935th Air Force Regiments when they are mobilized to the Regiment; actively and proactively organizing flights of 3 or 4 SU-30MK2s for the pilots and flight crews expected to participate in the mission.
Since July 2024, the Regiment has organized 7 training groups at Kep airport, a total of 127 flights, of which 6 groups and 56 flights were conducted at Gia Lam airport. The pilot force participating in the mission consists of 18 comrades. Training is conducted according to flight plans depending on weather and meteorological conditions, such as: Good weather, cloudy visibility and bad weather. The participating pilots all ensure their qualifications, continue to actively train, and are ready for the opening day of the exhibition.
