Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong established a new company.

(NLDO)- After this capital contribution, the amount of VIC shares held by Mr. Vuong is expected to be 656 million units.

On April 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) announced a report by Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vingroup Corporation (stock code: VIC), on the registration of capital contribution in the form of VIC shares with a quantity of more than 35 million units (equivalent to 0.9% of Vingroup's charter capital) to VinEnergo Energy Joint Stock Company.

The transaction will be carried out by transferring ownership through the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC) from April 17 to May 16.

The expected transaction value of the above shares is about VND 1,420 billion, according to the average trading price of VIC shares in 50 consecutive sessions up to February 21, 2025. Accordingly, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong contributed capital accounting for 71% of ownership at VinEnergo (VinEnergo has a charter capital of VND 2,000 billion).

After the above transaction, the amount of VIC shares held by Mr. Vuong is expected to be 656 million units.

On the stock market, VIC shares have just had two consecutive ceiling price sessions on April 10 and April 11, closing at VND65,100/share. Temporarily calculated at this price, the number of shares contributed by Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong to VinEnergo is worth VND2,281 billion.

VinEnergo Energy Joint Stock Company was established in March 2025 with the main business line of electricity production.

VinEnergo is headquartered at Symphony Office Building, Vinhomes Riverside, Hanoi . This is where many technology companies of Vingroup Corporation are headquartered.
