Money rushes into stocks, VN-Index reaches highest level in 1 and a half years

ANTD.VN - After two strong increases, the VN-Index today increased by 25.51 points, successfully surpassing the 1,270 point threshold, reaching the highest level in the past year and a half.

The stock market was trading briskly this morning after a few cautious minutes at the opening.

The demand has pushed many technology, retail, and shipping stocks to continue their upward momentum from the previous session; along with that, many other industries such as chemicals and fertilizers, seafood, etc. have also quickly joined in. In particular, pillar groups such as banks and securities have also gradually regained green.

At the end of the morning session, the HOSE floor had 314 stocks increasing and 128 stocks decreasing, VN-Index increased by 13.01 points (+1.04%), to 1,258.01 points. Total trading volume reached more than 454 million units, worth 12,813.7 billion VND.

On the HNX floor this morning, there were also 104 stocks increasing and 53 stocks decreasing, the HNX-Index increased by 2.17 points (+0.93%), to 236.2 points. The UPCoM-Index also increased by 0.23 points (+0.26%), to 91 points.

The stock market had two positive sessions of increase.

In the afternoon session, the strong breakthrough of banking, securities and real estate stocks helped the indexes move up rapidly.

All banking stocks closed in the green today, except for EIB which remained unchanged. VIB,ACB , MBB, TPB, VPB increased by around 3%. This industry group increased by 1.86% today.

The stock group today increased strongly by 4.77% with VIX and ORS increasing to the maximum limit. VND, SSI, MBS, CTS, BSI, SHS… all increased by 4-6%. In this industry group, only VPS decreased by 4.2%.

In addition, the information technology, retail, wholesale, mining, seafood processing, etc. industries all increased strongly today.

In general, the stock market closed the session with green covering. The VN30 group today had 29/30 codes increasing (VJC decreased slightly by 0.3%). The biggest contributors to the index's increase were VCB,FPT , GVR, HPG...

At the end of the trading session, VN-Index increased by 25.51 points (2.05%) to 1,270.51 points. This is the highest point that this index has reached since the beginning of September 2022. On the HOSE floor, there were 433 stocks increasing, 64 stocks decreasing and 61 stocks remaining unchanged.

HNX-Index today also increased by 4.17 points (1.78%) to 238.20 points, HNX floor had 136 codes increased, 40 codes decreased, 64 codes remained unchanged.

UPCoM-Index today increased 0.76 points (0.84%) to 91.53 points with 219 codes increasing, 73 codes decreasing and 81 codes remaining unchanged.

The rising market also witnessed more active cash flow. Nearly 30,000 billion VND was traded on 3 floors, of which, nearly 26,300 billion VND was traded on HOSE alone.

Foreign investors today net sold more than 460 billion VND on HOSE and nearly 42 billion VND on HNX. The codes with the strongest net selling were VNM, VHM, GEX…
