Accordingly, the small loris weighing 0.2kg was voluntarily handed over by Mr. Hoang Anh Quyen, residing in Tay Thuy village, Tien Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa) to Phu Canh commune police (Quang Trach). Afterwards, Phu Canh commune police handed over this small loris to the Quang Trach district Forest Protection Department.
After receiving, the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Creatures will take care of, nurture and release them back into the natural environment.
It is known that the pygmy loris (Nycticebus pygmaeus) is an endangered, precious, and rare forest animal belonging to group IB (species in danger of extinction, exploitation and use for commercial purposes are strictly prohibited) stipulated in Decree No. 84/2021/ND-CP on Management of endangered, precious, and rare forest plants and animals and implementation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
