Continue searching, gathering and repatriating martyrs' remains

Continuing the working program in the Southern Lao provinces, on the morning of October 21, in Champasak province, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Y Ngoc, Head of Steering Committee 515 of Quang Ngai province and members had a meeting with the Special Working Group of Champasak province on continuing to search, collect, and repatriate the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Champasak province.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Y Ngoc affirmed that Quang Ngai province always attaches importance to fostering solidarity and friendship with the Southern Lao provinces in general and Champasak province in particular as an important, long-term and sustainable political task. The two provinces have signed a bilateral cooperation memorandum with many practical contents, including a task of profound political and humanistic significance, which is to coordinate in searching for and collecting the remains of martyrs of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts.

In the dry season of 2024 - 2025, with the close attention and direction of the Governments of the two countries, along with the close coordination and affection of the Special Working Group of Champasak province, Team K53 of Quang Ngai province surveyed, searched and collected 04 martyrs' remains. The Steering Committee 515 of Quang Ngai province hopes to continue to receive the attention and support of the Party Committee, the government and the Special Working Group of Champasak province so that the work of searching and collecting martyrs' remains in the dry season of 2025-2026 will achieve better results.
