Việt NamViệt Nam13/12/2024

On December 12, the Department of Information and Communications organized the destruction of confiscated exhibits due to administrative violations in the field of publishing in the province.

Check confiscated property before destroying it according to regulations.

According to the Council for assessing the status of exhibits and determining the form of handling seized exhibits of administrative violations, the number of exhibits destroyed this time includes 41 books with 287 books of unknown origin. These are exhibits confiscated during the process of inspecting and handling administrative violations in the field of publishing in the province.

The confiscated and destroyed items this time were textbooks of unknown origin.

It is known that previously, the Inspection Team for compliance with legal regulations on publishing activities in Dak Lak province established by the Department of Information and Communications inspected and administratively sanctioned 02 households trading in books, cultural equipment and products in Buon Ho town and Krong Nang district with a total fine of 75.5 million VND.

The Council assesses the status of the exhibits and determines the form of handling the seized administrative violation exhibits and proceeds to destroy the violated exhibits.

Mr. Pham Duc Nghi - Chief Inspector of the Department of Information and Communications added: Every year, the Dak Lak Province Anti-Illegal Printing Joint Team develops and issues the Team's operational plan; coordinates well with the Provincial Police, the Department of Culture and Information of districts, cities and related departments and branches in inspecting, checking and handling administrative violations in the field of publishing, printing and distribution... In the past 15 years, the Team has conducted 35 inspections and checks on 197 individuals and organizations, imposed administrative fines with a total amount of VND 593,450,000, confiscated 02 color photocopiers, 151 block calendars, 10,097 publications of unknown origin and documents. With the drastic participation of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Printing Joint Team and functional forces in the inspection and handling of violations, it has contributed to creating a healthy business environment for legitimate businesses, protecting consumer rights and stabilizing the market. However, the production and trade of fake, pirated textbooks of illegal origin in the province continues to occur with new methods of operation and increasingly sophisticated tricks, creating many difficulties and challenges for functional forces, especially for the Provincial Anti-Illegal Printing Joint Team in the work of inspecting, controlling the market and handling violators.
