Finding solutions to attract Korean tourists to Vietnam

The 2024 Vietnam Tourism and Culture Promotion Festival in Korea will take place from June 29 to July 3 in Korea with many exciting activities.

From 2015 to 2019, the number of Korean visitors to Vietnam increased dramatically, from 1.1 million to 4.3 million (an increase of nearly 4 times). The average growth rate in the period 2015 - 2019 reached 40.1%/year, the highest among the source markets sending visitors to Vietnam.

In December 2022, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (then the General Department of Tourism) and the Korean National Tourism Organization signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in promoting Vietnam-Korea tourism for the period 2023-2024, creating a basis for the two sides to promote tourism cooperation and exchange of visitors.

In 2023, Vietnam will welcome 12.6 million international visitors, including 3.6 million Korean visitors, ranking first among foreign tourist markets to Vietnam. The destinations favored by Korean tourists are the Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An cluster, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Da Lat, Phu Quoc.
