In 2007, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam approved the amendment and supplement to Article 73 of the Labor Law allowing employees to take time off work and receive full pay on the Hung King's Death Anniversary (10th of the third lunar month). In 2013, the Hung King's Death Anniversary was formalized by the State with regulations on ceremonies, incense offerings, and state agencies in charge in Decree No. 145/2013/ND-CP dated October 29, 2013 of the Government on the organization of the anniversary; ceremonies for awarding and receiving forms of commendation and emulation titles; diplomatic ceremonies and welcoming and receiving foreign guests...

Hung King's Commemoration Ceremony at Hung King Temple (Can Tho City, Can Tho Province).

Currently, there are more than 1,400 relics nationwide, of which Phu Tho province - the land of the nation's origin - has about 350 relics worshiping Hung Kings and figures from the Hung King era. From the Ancestral Land, the worship of Hung Kings has spread, becoming a custom of the Vietnamese community at home and abroad. Vietnamese people in all parts of the country and abroad have created their own spaces to worship Hung Kings, asking for incense sticks, soil, and water from Hung Temple to worship the nation's founder. This is a purely Vietnamese belief that has transcended all eras to become a symbol of the desire for longevity, long-term, permanent independence and the dream of prosperity for the nation and people.

Today, in addition to the main location of the Hung Temple Historical Site, the Hung Kings' Commemoration Festival is also held in many other localities across the country, in which many provinces and cities have invested in building large projects to serve people visiting and paying tribute to the Hung Kings such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho, Hue, Kien Giang... At Luong Khe communal house (Thong Nhat ward, Kon Tum city, Kon Tum province), the Hung Kings' Commemoration Festival has been maintained by the people for nearly 100 years. This is a traditional form of community activity of the people of Luong Khe village. During the Hung Kings' Commemoration Festival, people offer incense and more than 40 culinary products such as Ngoc Linh wine, Da Vang coffee, roasted pork, banh chung, banh day, lam rice, gac sticky rice, nem cha... to report to the Hung Kings about the economic, cultural and social achievements that have been achieved.

The Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Hungary organized the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony.

Mr. Phan The Ngoc, Head of the Luong Khe Communal House Management Board, said: Through the ups and downs of history, Luong Khe villagers still maintain the Hung King Communal House Festival. For the people of Luong Khe Communal House in particular and the people of Kon Tum City in general, being able to directly participate in the festival and burn incense at the Ancestor's altar is an honor and pride.

In Lam Dong province, the Hung King worship has been preserved over time in terms of worship facilities, worship rituals, festivals and cultural space. Although nearly two thousand kilometers away from the Ancestral Land, the temples worshiping the National Ancestors and the Hung Kings worshiping beliefs are spiritual supports, transmitting the spirit of the origin; it is a place where Lam Dong people respectfully pay tribute to the Hung Kings. At the Hung King Temple (Ward 6), Hung King Temple (Ward 2), the National Ancestor Temple on Nguyen Luong Bang Street (Da Lat City), Au Lac Temple (Pern Waterfall Tourist Area) and many other communal houses, temples and shrines in districts in Lam Dong province, there is a solemn altar to commemorate the National Ancestors and ancestors. Every year, the Hung King Commemoration Festival at the provincial level is held on a large scale at Au Lac Temple with many meaningful activities in both the ceremony and festival parts according to traditional rituals.

In particular, in other countries, the overseas Vietnamese community also respectfully organizes gratitude on the National Death Anniversary on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month every year. On the occasion of the Global Vietnamese National Ancestor Day, overseas Vietnamese organized traditional ritual activities, offered products, fruits, and burned incense to express gratitude to their ancestors who contributed to building the country. This is also an opportunity for those living far away to return to their roots. Mr. Phung Kim San - Permanent Vice President of the Association of Vietnamese in Hungary, a son of the Land of Ancestors, shared: Myself and the overseas Vietnamese here always practice the Hung King Worship, we are very proud of our common origin, preserving the traditional cultural beauty that not every country has.

The Hung Kings' death anniversary is a form of expression of the Vietnamese people's passionate patriotism, associated with the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", "When eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree", demonstrating the strength of national unity, and is the convergence point of the spiritual culture of the Vietnamese people for generations. This is also a unique belief, demonstrating a lifestyle full of identity and bravery, becoming a symbol of the will and spirit of the Vietnamese people on the journey of building and defending the country throughout thousands of years of history.
