The market started the week off-beat, losing the psychological support level of 1,600 points due to strong selling pressure in the late afternoon session. In the next two sessions, the index struggled to recover and stopped at the 1,580 point area, regaining all the points lost in the previous weekend session.
Liquidity remained at a low level, making investors cautious. Although the VN-Index had a strong increase in the middle of the week, weak cash flow prevented the market from exploding in the past two sessions.

At the end of the trading week from November 10 to November 14, VN-Index closed at 1,635.46 points, up 36.36 points (2.27%), marking the first week of increase after four consecutive weeks of decrease.
The market recovered on low liquidity. Foreign investors maintained a net selling momentum of more than VND2,280 billion.
The trading week showed positivity when 18/21 industry groups increased points. Insurance, consumer food and retail were the groups with the strongest increase. On the contrary, aviation, sugar and pharmaceuticals were the only three groups that decreased points during the week.
According to experts from Vietnam Construction Securities Joint Stock Company, the fact that VN-Index increased by 2.27% and ended the four-week consecutive decline shows that the decline has slowed down. However, liquidity is still low as the matching volume has decreased sharply, so the market has not shown any signs of confirming the trend reversal. However, this is still a positive signal for investors to open a tentative buying position and gradually increase the proportion when liquidity improves.
“We continue to maintain our view of buying with a small proportion when the general market has a correction and gradually increase the proportion when there is profit in industries with medium capitalization but strong breakthroughs last week such as oil and gas, chemicals, retail, construction, etc.”, this business expert recommended.
Experts from Asean Securities Joint Stock Company said that VN-Index may continue to fluctuate in the short term, with the near support zone at 1,620 points.
Short-term investors with a large cash balance can disburse part of their cash during corrections. Long-term investors should only increase their balance during corrections, prioritizing leading stocks with profit growth prospects in the 2025-2026 period.
