News, pepper price forecast tomorrow 7/12/2025
Domestic market on July 12, 2025
It is forecasted that domestic pepper prices on July 12, 2025 will continue to maintain the current level, with the main scenario being that prices will remain flat. Export enterprises are still in the process of collecting goods to serve the July-August contract, but there is no sudden buying pressure. The amount of goods left in the population is not much because most of them have been sold since the price increase at the beginning of the month.
However, a secondary scenario is also possible with the possibility of a slight price increase in some provinces such as Gia Lai or Dak Nong (old), if demand from the international market increases, especially from China and India - two markets with summer orders. The expected increase is only about 100 - 200 VND/kg, not enough to create a big wave but can stimulate the market to move slightly at the end of the week.
The shortage of goods continues in areas such as Cu Kuin (Dak Lak), Chu Se (Gia Lai) or Loc Ninh (Binh Phuoc), as many households have sold most of their inventory since June and only kept a small amount waiting for the price to break out. Some farmers in Bu Dop (Binh Phuoc) expect pepper prices to reach 145,000 - 150,000 VND/kg in August, but many households are also rushing to sell off their remaining goods in case of a sudden price reversal, causing the market to be torn between expectations of an increase and pressure to take profits.
International market on July 12, 2025
In the international market, export companies still have many orders waiting for delivery until early September, mainly from the Middle East and South Asia markets, creating a balance between supply and demand and preventing prices from falling sharply in the short term. Purchasing enterprises are still collecting goods at a stable rate, not increasing sharply but not stopping either.
The stable USD exchange rate last week helped control import costs and FOB payments, supporting positive sentiment for export activities. However, production developments in Brazil, which is entering the new crop harvest period, are still being closely monitored. If production exceeds expectations, global pepper prices may face downward pressure again at the end of the third quarter.
Overall, world pepper prices are forecast to remain stable or fluctuate slightly in the coming time, similar to domestic price trends.
