In the global market, pepper prices today, July 18, 2025, showed slight fluctuations for some pepper varieties in Indonesia and Brazil, while many other varieties remained stable. According to information from the International Pepper Community (IPC):
For black pepper:
Indonesian black pepper: 7,216 USD/ton (equivalent to 180,400 VND/kg), up 0.17 USD compared to the previous day.
Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570: 5,800 USD/ton (equivalent to 145,000 VND/kg), up 0.86 USD compared to the previous day.
Malaysian ASTA black pepper: 8,900 USD/ton (equivalent to 222,500 VND/kg), unchanged price.
For white pepper:
Indonesian white pepper: 10,058 USD/ton (equivalent to 251,450 VND/kg), up 0.17 USD compared to the previous day.

News, pepper price forecast tomorrow 7/20/2025
According to records on July 19, the domestic pepper market remained unchanged, flat compared to yesterday's trading session, ranging from 137,000-140,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, in the world, pepper prices in Indonesia and Brazil increased slightly again.
Pepper traders said that although supply is in short supply, weak purchasing power has prevented pepper prices from rising. Domestic businesses are still cautiously buying and waiting for further signals from important markets such as China and Europe. If major importers return early in the fourth quarter, pepper prices are expected to rise again.
Experts predict that in the next few days, pepper prices are likely to continue to fluctuate within a narrow range. In the short term, domestic pepper prices are expected to remain high as inventories are low, while export enterprises are proactively gathering goods to meet orders for the third quarter of 2025.
Domestic market on July 20, 2025
Domestic pepper prices are forecast to continue to fluctuate within a narrow range in the next few days, after moving sideways at VND137,000-140,000/kg on July 19. Prices are expected to remain high due to low inventories and export businesses are accumulating goods for the third quarter of 2025.
International market on July 20, 2025
According to the forecast of world pepper prices tomorrow, the market will generally move sideways, but there will still be fluctuations in increase and decrease in different countries.
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC) on the afternoon of July 19, 2025 as follows:
Indonesia: Lampung black pepper price increased again, reaching 7,216 USD/ton. Muntok white pepper price increased again, reaching 10,058 USD/ton.
Malaysia: ASTA black pepper price remained stable at USD 8,900/ton and ASTA white pepper price at USD 11,750/ton.
Brazil: Pepper prices fluctuated and increased again by 50 USD/ton, reaching 5,800 USD/ton.
Vietnam: Pepper export prices continue to remain stable and sideways. The price of 500 g/l black pepper is at 6,440 USD/ton; 550 g/l is at 6,570 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 9,150 USD/ton.
