It was almost noon, but on the training ground, the DBDV force of Regiment 841 ( Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command) was still enthusiastically practicing infantry combat techniques.

Watching the DBĐV soldiers practice rolling, crawling, creeping, shooting, throwing grenades... it is easy to see that even though they have been away from the army for many years, when mobilized for training, they still have a firm grasp of basic military skills. The commander's command, the charge shout and the fake sounds make the atmosphere like being in a "battle".

During the break, Captain Hoang Anh Tuan, Platoon Leader of Platoon 2, Company 2, Battalion 3 of the 3rd Infantry Division (from Tan Lam Huong Commune, Ha Tinh City, Ha Tinh Province) shared: “This training session makes me feel like I am reliving my military years. Although my family has many things to worry about and the weather is harsh, we have a good mindset and strive to achieve high results in training.”

At the Mechanized Reconnaissance Company, 80 officers and soldiers of the DBDV assigned by Huong Khe district to the Economic -Defense Group 337 (Military Region 4) for management and training are also diligently practicing the contents according to the prescribed program. Under the scorching sun, sweat rolled down their dark faces, but the soldiers were still enthusiastic and diligent in practicing shooting and throwing grenades.

Visiting the accommodation and living quarters of the DBDV officers and soldiers, we saw that blankets, backpacks, shoes, towels, etc. were arranged in a uniform, neat and tidy manner, no different from soldiers in main units with full troops. Lieutenant Colonel Vo Huu Yen, Deputy Commander of Regiment 52 (Economic-Defense Group 337) said: “The DBDV subjects managed and trained by the unit are quite diverse, with many ages, most of them are manual laborers, many comrades have difficult family circumstances, etc., which significantly affects the training process. Therefore, the unit proactively grasps the thoughts, feelings, and circumstances of each person, to promptly resolve arising thoughts; at the same time, assigns officers to accompany and help comrades who have difficulties in training, all aiming at the goal of training to achieve the highest results”.

The Military Command of Ha Tinh province has identified that innovation and improvement of the quality of training of the DBĐV force is one of the breakthrough contents to improve the overall quality of the local armed forces in the new situation. Entering this year's training season, along with proactively doing a good job of preparation, consolidating the system of teaching tools, training grounds, training grounds, building scientific and suitable plans..., all units attach importance to training and fostering the framework cadres and direct training teachers. During the training process, units and localities have thoroughly grasped the requirements, content, processes, and methods, ensuring that training is close to the subjects and requirements of each locality and unit. At the same time, strictly maintaining discipline and regime through lesson plans and lectures, thereby unifying the content, programs, fostering and improving the qualifications, capacity, methods of organizing and operating and practicing training for cadres at all levels...

In reality, most of the reserve soldiers have wives and children, are the main laborers, some comrades have difficult family circumstances, do not have stable jobs, and mainly work far away... Therefore, the units receiving soldiers have closely coordinated with the Party Committee, the government, departments, branches, and organizations from the district to the villages and hamlets to manage and grasp the political background and circumstances of each reserve soldier; properly implement the procedures, stages, and steps of infiltration and selection of reserve soldiers. During the training process, officers at all levels regularly monitor, guide, and correct each technique and movement key, helping the DBĐV soldiers feel secure in performing their tasks, and the training results gradually improve.

It is known that in 2025, Ha Tinh province will have 1,350 reserve soldiers mobilized for training missions. Of which, the source of supply for units of the Ministry and Military Region is 480 targets; local army units are 870 targets. Currently, the whole province has completed training for the reserve force of 7 units and localities, reaching over 70% of the target, including districts: Nghi Xuan, Huong Khe, Cam Xuyen, Ha Tinh city, Ky Anh town and Regiment 841. At the end of the first phase of reserve force training of units and localities, the results of 100% of the subjects' content met the requirements, of which 77.28% achieved good and excellent results.

Lieutenant Colonel Duong Ngoc Tiep, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Military Command of Ha Tinh province, said: “Through monitoring, the units have proactively done a good job of preparation, from planning, training schedule, training of B-frame cadres to consolidating and repairing facilities, teaching models, training grounds, training grounds, lesson plans... in accordance with regulations. Therefore, the quality of training associated with formal construction, management, discipline training as well as the quality of DBĐV troops have been gradually improved, meeting the increasingly high requirements of combat readiness tasks.”
