Mbappe's latest status

Kylian Mbappe has been discharged from the hospital in Miami after receiving treatment for acute gastroenteritis.

Mbappe appeared, but he is not expected to return to playing anytime soon.

Real Madrid announced: "Kylian Mbappe was discharged from the hospital this afternoon and rejoined the team. Mbappe will continue his specialized medical treatment and will gradually rejoin the team's activities."

The Real Madrid striker was unable to participate in "Los Blancos'" opening match, a 1-1 draw against Al Hilal in Group H of the FIFA Club World Cup™ 2025 on June 19th. The Spanish giants confirmed he was hospitalized due to a severe case of gastroenteritis.

Previously, Mbappe had to stay in his hotel room to comply with the quarantine procedures implemented by the club to avoid infecting others. The French striker also had to change his diet because he could not eat normal food.

Real Madrid's next match is against Pachuca on June 22nd in Charlotte. However, according to Marca , the chances of Mbappe being fit to play are slim. In the worst-case scenario, the former PSG star could miss the rest of the season.

Given the harsh playing conditions in the US, with temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius and humidity at 70%, it won't be easy for Mbappe to return to the pitch anytime soon. This disrupts Xabi Alonso's personnel plans, dealing a major blow to "Los Blancos'" championship ambitions.
