On the evening of January 20, Hung Yen province held a press meeting to mark the beginning of the Year of the Dragon 2024. Comrade Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting.
Attending the meeting were Party Central Committee members: Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Do Tien Sy, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam ; comrades in the Standing Committee of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee: Tran Quoc Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Quoc Van, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders and reporters of central and Hung Yen provincial news and press agencies.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the support of the press agencies for the socio-economic development of the province in the past time. At the same time, he emphasized that in the coming time, Hung Yen province will continue to implement many policies and solutions for socio-economic development, striving to complete the targets set by the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025. Along with the efforts and determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Yen province, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes that the press agencies will continue to accompany and pay attention to widely and vividly propagating major political and cultural events of the province; promptly and fully reflect patriotic emulation movements, contributing to encouraging and motivating the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Yen province to successfully implement the set goals and tasks.
In 2023, Hung Yen province made efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, take advantage of opportunities, and achieve encouraging and quite comprehensive development achievements in all fields, which is a bright spot in the overall picture of the national economy.
Notably, most of the province's socio-economic targets in 2023 have met or exceeded the set targets: GRDP is estimated to increase by 10.05% (average growth in 3 years 2021-2023 is 9.91%), exceeding the set plan, bringing Hung Yen province to rank 7th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. Total social development investment capital exceeded the set plan, reaching 68,793 billion VND, up 24.71% compared to 2022 and restructuring revenue sources towards increasing the proportion from production and business more firmly; labor productivity is estimated at 209 million VND/worker, up 6.21%; the poverty rate decreased to 0.86%...
Along with that, the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, discipline and law have been enhanced; the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been promoted; social security has been ensured; the material and spiritual life of the people and social welfare have continued to improve; environmental pollution has been gradually handled; national defense, security and social order have been maintained...
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association congratulated the achievements that Hung Yen province has achieved in the past time. At the same time, he contributed some ideas for the development of the province in the coming time. On behalf of the press agencies, he hoped that the leaders of Hung Yen province would continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for reporters in their work, in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda work in the coming time./.
