On the morning of April 2, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee held the 19th Conference of the 22nd term, discussing and evaluating the implementation of work in the first quarter and deploying key tasks in the second quarter of 2025. In his opening speech, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized that the 19th Provincial Party Committee Conference will discuss and evaluate the implementation of all aspects of work in the first quarter, deploy key tasks in the second quarter of 2025, and give opinions on the content of the summary of 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 17, dated April 17, 2020 of the Provincial Party Committee on the National Security Protection Strategy in the province. In the first quarter, all levels and sectors focused on leading and directing the implementation of Resolution No. 42 of the Provincial Party Committee and achieved positive results. In particular, many events and activities were successfully organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Quang Nam's liberation and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee.

In terms of economy , the total product in the province (GRDP) is estimated to increase by over 10% over the same period last year. Domestic revenue is nearly 5,400 billion VND, reaching 26% of the estimate, up over the same period. The scale of the economy at current prices is estimated at nearly 29 trillion VND, up over 3.3 trillion VND over the same period last year. The total number of visitors and tourist accommodation is estimated at 2.240 million, up 10% over the same period. Revenue from tourism and accommodation also increased over the same period. The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has completed 5,590/11,761 houses, reaching about 47.5%.

Quang Nam province has also focused on resolutely reorganizing the apparatus in conjunction with restructuring the staff according to the Central's policy, consolidating and perfecting the staff at the provincial level and the central vertical sectors. Up to now, the Party bloc has reduced 35 departments, offices and affiliated units; the government bloc has reduced 06 departments and branches (from 19 agencies and units to 13 agencies and units)... The results achieved clearly reflect the determination and efforts of the entire political system, business community and people of the whole province in the past time.

However, in leadership, direction and operation, there are still shortcomings and limitations that need to be focused on to resolve. Therefore, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung emphasized: currently, the implementation of major policies of the Central Government and the acceleration of socio-economic growth will be greatly affected by the arrangement of the apparatus and administrative boundaries. It is necessary to strengthen the management and supervision of real estate trading in the border areas of Quang Nam and Da Nang since the information of the province's merger. It is necessary to focus on resolving slow-progressing, backlogged and prolonged projects that are causing public frustration. It is necessary to study and have solutions to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital for projects in the province.
