The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to study and coordinate with the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and relevant agencies and units to organize activities in response to World Water Day, World Meteorological Day, and Earth Hour Campaign in 2023 according to the instructions of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
It is known that World Water Day (March 22, 2023) was launched by the United Nations with the theme "Accelerating Change"; World Meteorological Day (March 23, 2023) was launched by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) with the theme "The Future of Weather, Climate and Water across Generations" - Vietnam's propaganda theme is "Weather, climate and water resources information contributes to sustainable socio -economic development for today and tomorrow"; Earth Hour campaign 2023 was launched by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) with the theme "The Biggest Hour for Earth" - "Important moment for the Earth".
In response to the above series of events, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment recommends that localities organize practical, effective and appropriate activities such as hanging billboards, banners and posters made from environmentally friendly materials in public areas, streets, agency headquarters and other suitable locations.
Organize seminars, conferences, scientific workshops; promote the application of information technology and online methods, coordinate with news agencies to increase broadcasting time for content on the importance of water resources, weather, climate, forecasting, early warning, impact forecasting, climate change adaptation, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, saving energy, preserving biodiversity, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security...
