Plan Organization disburses 1.1 billion VND in emergency support to help people and students in difficult areas

On the afternoon of October 22, Plan International Vietnam Office in Tuyen Quang coordinated with the Department of Foreign Affairs to present 570 gifts to boarding students of Lao Chai Primary and Secondary Boarding School (Lao Chai Commune) and Phuong Do Primary School (Ha Giang 1 Ward).

At the program, 74 boarding students of Phuong Do Primary School and 496 boarding students of Lao Chai Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities each received a cotton blanket, helping them have better conditions for studying and living in the upcoming winter.

Up to now, Plan International Vietnam Office in Tuyen Quang has disbursed 1.1 billion VND in emergency support packages, including: 200 cash aid packages (each worth 2.5 million VND) for disadvantaged households in 7 communes and wards of Ha Giang 1; 200 packages of household goods; 570 cotton blankets for boarding students.

Faced with the severe damage caused by storms No. 10 (Bualoi) and No. 11 (Matmo), on October 16, 2025, Plan International Vietnam quickly deployed an emergency aid package worth 50,000 Euros (equivalent to 1.5 billion VND) to help people in Tuyen Quang province overcome the consequences of storms and floods and soon stabilize their lives. Currently, the program is continuing to support the construction and renovation of the boarding cafeteria of Lao Chai Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities and Phuong Do Primary School with a budget of 400 million VND, expected to be completed in the near future.
