Vietnam U23 team determined to maintain their winning streak.
The Vietnam U23 team arrived at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand with great expectations and a significant responsibility, determined to reach the final and bring home the gold medal in men's football for the nation.
By this point, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team have achieved their first goal, securing a place in the final after three consecutive wins, where they will face U.23 Thailand at 7:30 PM on December 18th.
It was an emotional journey, as the U23 Vietnamese players successively overcame every obstacle, from the "double-decker bus" tactics of Laos and Malaysia to the extremely frustrating playing style of the Philippines, to face their most challenging opponent: the host nation.

That focus and effort clearly demonstrated the fighting spirit on the field. In addition, there was the image of the team's disheveled hair, noticeable on many players such as Dinh Bac, Ly Duc, Van Khang, Trung Kien, Xuan Bac, Hieu Minh…
They all shared the same thought: not touching their hair throughout their journey to conquer the SEA Games and bring home the prestigious gold medal. Some even didn't dare shave their beards. Or like Anh Quân, who proactively cut his hair very short before leaving, so that by the time of the final, his hair would grow back to fit perfectly.
The greatest gift for the fans.
On the afternoon of December 15th, the Rajamangala Stadium came alive with thousands of Vietnamese fans pouring in, making the stands vibrant with the bright red and yellow colors during the semi-final match between Vietnam U23 and Philippines U23.

Supporter groups, independent fans, those on organized tours , and even the Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Club Supporters' Club… each in their own way, without prior arrangement, everyone donned the red and yellow star-emblazoned shirt to cheer on the Vietnam U23 team.
This created a completely different atmosphere, as the fire from the stands acted like a mental doping agent, igniting the Vietnamese U23 players with such intense enthusiasm that coach Kim Sang-sik had to remind them to stay calm and avoid excessive excitement that the opponent could exploit.
Dinh Bac shared: "Honestly, when I stepped onto the Rajamangala Stadium pitch, I felt very happy because so many fans had come, giving us a wonderful feeling. At that moment, the whole team's morale was very high, so much so that coach Kim Sang-sik had to tell the whole team to restrain themselves."
Indeed, the Vietnam U23 team played with great spirit. I hope that on December 18th, fans will come to Rajamangala Stadium to cheer us on in the final. We will try our best to win."
