The activities of the NDTQ Group closely follow the instructions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, especially in accordance with the actual conditions of the locality, notably participating in the model activity "Great Unity Day for the Community". Through the inspection and supervision work of the Fatherland Front system in the area, it shows that the results of the model activity "Great Unity Day for the Community" have gradually become routine, gradually increasing efficiency, associated with the construction of advanced new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
In 2023, members of the People's Committee of Hong Ngu City actively participated in the model of "Great Unity Day for the Community" in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas with the task of creating bright - green - clean - beautiful areas in residential areas. Through activities attracting a large number of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, union members, association members and people from all walks of life with over 38,000 participants.
The whole Hong Ngu city has 543 People's Volunteer Groups with nearly 22,100 members, most of whom actively participate in implementing the model "Great Unity Day for the Community". Specifically: union members, youth, association members and people participate in clearing bushes, cleaning the environment, collecting waste, and planting hundreds of trees on the streets. At the same time, they mobilize and propagate people to raise awareness in maintaining environmental hygiene, not encroaching on sidewalks... Thereby, limiting the situation of littering in the wrong places in the city. The model "Great Unity Day for the Community" is also combined with many other volunteer models such as: "Zero-dong Market", "Charity Rice Distribution", "Younger of the Union", "Supporting the lonely elderly", to create a spread of volunteer spirit in the locality.
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hong Ngu City, up to now, the whole city has 543/543 People's Committees responding to the launch of the model "Great Unity Day for the Community" with tens of thousands of cadres, party members and people participating. In general, the activity "Great Unity Day for the Community" in Hong Ngu City has become a self-governing model of the residential community with common interests, with people voluntarily discussing and participating, members of the People's Committees have promoted an active role in participating and mobilizing people to participate in local activities, contributing to the good implementation of environmental criteria in building advanced new rural areas.
With the results achieved through the People's Committee participating in the implementation of "Great Unity Day for the Community" in residential areas, it has aroused the spirit of solidarity, created a close relationship of village and neighborhood affection; promoted the role of self-management and autonomy in the community. Along with that, promoting propaganda and mobilizing households in communes and wards of the city to well implement the contents of the Regulations on the operation of the People's Committee such as: maintaining security and order, traffic safety, building cultural families, cultural hamlets and villages, advanced new rural areas, civilized urban areas. Focus on mobilizing households to implement well the proposed contents on cultural families, families with no law violators, no encroachment on sidewalks, road corridors, especially organizing individual or family activities that do not affect the community, implementing civility in weddings, funerals and festivals, environmental sanitation... Thereby,educating awareness of vigilance, self-management in each household, exercising the rights and obligations of citizens.
