On October 14, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Cultural House coordinated with the Tan Hung Ward Women's Union to organize a discussion program with the theme "Women of the new era - Strong inner strength, ready to go far". This is a meaningful activity in a series of activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025), the 44th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Cultural House and to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.
The program is organized to honor the role, good traditional values as well as the great contributions of generations of Vietnamese women, and at the same time encourage women to proactively "transform" themselves, meeting the requirements of the new era with countless development opportunities.
Ms. Pham Thi Thuy, PhD in Sociology, Lecturer at the Regional Political Academy II, shared: “Women today are not only the keepers of the fire in the family but also leaders, scientists, businesswomen and pioneers in nation building. Women of the new era are symbols of inner strength, courage and intelligence; when given the opportunity to develop, they will become a pioneering force in labor, creativity and social governance.”

Similarly, according to Mr. Nguyen Huu Long, PhD in Psychology, Lecturer of the Faculty of Sociology - Social Work - Southeast Asia, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, modern women who want to be truly steadfast and reach far in the new era need to have a solid foundation of inner strength. That inner strength originates from the belief within each person.
“Without faith, we will find it difficult to overcome challenges and cannot unlock the potential hidden deep within us. Some people have knowledge, money, status or health, but without faith, all of these are just external values, unable to help us go far or fully develop our own abilities,” Mr. Long added.
Notably, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Co, Vice President of Women's Association of Ward 25, Tan Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City said: "Inner strength does not come naturally, it comes from the process of working, contributing and creating value. When we work, when we commit, we truly understand our own value. Inner strength is the confidence that is cultivated from action, from work and from daring to stand up and renew ourselves every day."
According to Ms. Do Thi Ly, Head of the Women's Association of Ward 49, Tan Hung Ward, in addition to knowledge and education, women of the new era need to constantly improve their awareness and thinking to adapt to the development of society. Ms. Ly believes that a woman's inner strength comes not only from knowledge but also from courage, will to progress and perseverance to overcome personal limits. Even in small daily tasks, when daring to challenge and strive to renew themselves, women will gradually affirm their inner strength and steadfastness in life.
