Part of Binh Hung Hoa cemetery land was converted into a school.

According to the Women's Newspaper, Tran Dai Nghia Primary School is being built on land that used to be Binh Hung Hoa Cemetery (HCMC). This is the first step in a plan to convert about 44.5 hectares of cemetery land into schools, parks and public infrastructure.

Once all three phases are completed, the area will have two more schools, along with about 30.5 hectares of land planned for transportation, water supply and drainage systems, electricity, trees, landscaping, walking paths and public lighting.
At the construction site, workers, excavators, bulldozers and many other mechanical vehicles operate continuously.

Binh Hung Hoa Cemetery is 40.7 hectares wide, once had more than 53,000 graves, the largest cemetery in Ho Chi Minh City. The entire project to relocate Binh Hung Hoa Cemetery (Ho Chi Minh City) is divided into 3 phases. To date, phases 1 and 2 have been completed, about 32,000 graves and the crematorium have been relocated from the nearly 30-hectare land. Phase 3 is being implemented and is expected to be completed in 2026.

After completing 3 phases, this area will have 2 more schools, along with about 30.5 hectares of land planned for traffic, water supply and drainage systems, electricity, trees, landscape, walking paths and public lighting.

Tran Dai Nghia Primary School is located at the intersection of Tan Thang and Binh Long streets, and was started in May 2025, covering an area of nearly 9,000 square meters. The project is invested by the Binh Tan District Construction Investment Project Management Board (old), using the city budget.

Housing supply increases sharply

Speaking to Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, Mr. Vo Hong Thang, Deputy General Director of DKRA Consulting, said that the apartment market has seen significant growth. In the second quarter alone, primary supply increased by about 40% compared to the same period last year, mainly concentrated in Ho Chi Minh City (old) and Binh Duong (old), accounting for nearly 80% of total supply.

A Novaland project in Ho Chi Minh City continues construction after legal problems were resolved.

Notably, the demand for buying apartments also increased more than 3 times, partly reflecting the positive sentiment of people after the merger and administrative boundary adjustment moves.

In particular, the merger between Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau has turned the new Ho Chi Minh City into a "super city" of unprecedented scale, opening up enormous potential for real estate development. Not only geographically and administratively, the merger also creates a dynamic economic region, thereby stimulating strong demand for housing, investment, production and services.

The real estate market in the South has therefore become much more vibrant. In just a short time, a series of enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City as well as neighboring provinces have simultaneously launched new apartment and land projects. In particular, projects in the old Binh Duong area, with affordable prices, only from about 38-45 million VND/m², have quickly attracted a large number of customers.

According to Batdongsan's forecast, thanks to legal clearance, infrastructure improvements and increased demand after the merger, the housing supply in Ho Chi Minh City in 2025 could reach 12,000-15,000 apartments, along with about 1,500-2,000 townhouses and villas, an increase of 30%-40% compared to the previous year.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, this is the next stage after the first 6 months of practice at general hospitals, a challenging but extremely valuable journey for young doctors to mature from reality.

In the 4th course of the Internship Program at the General Hospital associated with the Medical Station, this year, 21 young doctors proactively registered to practice at the medical stations in the provinces of Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau (old), including 2 doctors volunteering to practice at the Medical Station of Con Dao Special Zone. In addition, 41 young doctors were assigned to medical stations belonging to medical centers in wards and communes where few young doctors previously chose to work due to the remote location such as Can Gio, Thanh An, Cu Chi, Binh My, Hoc Mon, Ba Diem, Binh Chanh, Vinh Loc, etc.

Unlike the 3 courses, course 4 is the first course to apply the 6-3-3-3-3 rotation model, including: the first 6 months of practice at the general hospital, the next 3 months at the medical station, then 3 more months at the hospital, 3 months at the medical station and the final 3 months at the hospital.
