On the morning of June 15, the Steering Committee 515 of Thanh Hoa province held a conference to summarize the work of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains in the dry season of 2022-2023. Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee 515 of the province attended and chaired the conference.

In the 2022-2023 dry season, although there are still certain difficulties in the search and collection of martyrs' remains, with the focused leadership and direction of local Party committees and authorities, the Provincial Steering Committee 515 and the participation of the entire political system, the search and collection of martyrs' remains has been actively and synchronously deployed. The coordination between the Steering Committee 515 of Thanh Hoa province and the Special Working Group of Hua Phan province (Laos), the coordination between agencies, departments, branches, organizations and localities has been carried out closely and responsibly, contributing to the collection work achieving practical results. In the 2022-2023 dry season, 25 martyrs' remains were searched for and collected (including 9 martyrs' remains in the country, 16 martyrs' remains in Laos), and the handover of 1 martyr's remains according to the martyr's hometown in Nghe An province.
In the process of performing its tasks, the Collection Team of the Provincial Military Command always thoroughly grasps and strictly complies with the State's laws, military discipline, traditional culture, customs and practices when interacting with the people; regularly coordinates with Party committees and authorities at all levels to promote propaganda to the people about the special friendship between the two provinces and the two ethnic groups of Vietnam and Laos, helping people in labor, production, medical examination and treatment, providing free medicine to the people, repairing means and production machinery; at the same time, collecting and exploiting information about martyrs and martyrs' graves to improve the effectiveness of searching, collecting and repatriating martyrs' remains.
At the conference, members of the Provincial Steering Committee 515 and representatives of relevant departments, agencies, and localities focused on discussing and contributing ideas to clarify information related to the search and collection of martyrs' remains. At the same time, they highlighted the outstanding results and achievements as well as the difficulties, limitations, and causes, drew lessons learned, and proposed policies and solutions to continue to lead, direct, and implement the search and collection of martyrs' remains more effectively and with better quality in the coming time.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung, Head of the Steering Committee 515 of Thanh Hoa province, requested agencies, units, Party committees and authorities at all levels to further strengthen leadership and direction, promote the combined strength of the entire political system and all classes of people in searching for and collecting martyrs' remains; do better in propaganda and education work, and mobilize organizations and individuals to provide information about martyrs and martyrs' graves at home and abroad.
Take advantage of favorable weather conditions to launch search and collection campaigns on an appropriate scale in key areas. When there is information, it is necessary to organize forces to survey, verify information, search, and collect immediately, not to prolong. The process of organizing the search and collection must be tight and meticulous, concluding the area as it is done, absolutely no omissions are allowed.
In addition, advise the Party Committee and government to organize the memorial service and burial of martyrs' remains in a thoughtful, strict, solemn manner, in accordance with local customs and practices.

On this occasion, the Provincial Steering Committee 515 awarded Certificates of Merit from the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to 4 groups and 11 individuals; the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 groups and 11 individuals for their outstanding achievements in searching for and collecting martyrs' remains in the 2022-2023 dry season.
