The Cooperative Group (CG) "Growing VietGAP Pear in Nung Nang Commune" has 25 members. On January 6, 2025, the Provincial Farmers' Association directed the Provincial Farmers' Support Center to coordinate with the District Farmers' Association and the People's Committee of Nung Nang Commune to hold a CG meeting to select 8 members to participate in implementing the model of caring for 2.5 hectares of pear trees according to VietGap standards to ensure that the model's criteria are met.

During the model implementation process, staff from the Provincial Farmer Support Center directly instructed cooperative members on how to fertilize, the amount of fertilizer for each period; how to prune, grow branches, create canopy, and how to prevent pests and diseases for pear trees.
After 6 months of implementation, the model has achieved high results. The pear trees grow and develop well on schedule, ensuring scale. Currently, people have started harvesting, with an average yield of 30kg of fruit/tree, beautiful appearance, average weight of 180-300g/fruit, juicy, delicious and sweet quality. After deducting costs, people earn 650 thousand VND from 1 pear tree.
The model helps cooperative members apply technical measures to grow and care for clean pear trees that meet VietGAP standards, such as: pruning small branches, low branches, screwing branches to create canopy, pruning fruit, wrapping fruit, fertilizing in balance according to each stage of growth and development, combined with hoeing and weeding.

Speaking at the Conference, comrade Trinh Van Tam - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association highly appreciated the coordination of units and farmers of Nung Nang commune in implementing the model of caring for pear trees in the direction of VietGAP with high results. He hoped that the deployment and implementation of the model would contribute to promoting and raising awareness for members of the Cooperative in particular, and farmers of Nung Nang commune in general, to know how to apply science and technology to planting and caring for pear trees in the direction of VietGap, in order to increase productivity, quality, and increase economic value from pears. In the coming time, people need to proactively expand the area, implement technical measures for cultivation, such as pruning, weeding, and fertilizing in the right time frame, helping pear trees grow, the commune actively promotes and introduces products for consumption to bring high economic efficiency...
