
This morning (May 27), Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, along with French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, visited the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH).

This is an activity within the framework of the official visit to Vietnam of French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife.

During his visit to the university, President Macron and Vietnamese leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation in science and technology , innovation, AI, semiconductors, digital transformation and high-quality human resource training; while expanding research, technology transfer and digital infrastructure development.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology was established in 2009 following an international model with France as a strategic partner, training and researching in France's strong fields suitable for Vietnam's development needs such as biotechnology, space, energy, IT, nanomaterials, environment and oceanography.


The establishment of USTH is a symbol of cooperation in higher education and research, contributing to strengthening the friendly relations between Vietnam and France.

French President Emmanuel Macron interacts with PhD student Nguyen Ngoc Minh Tam, currently studying at the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi.

USTH students listened attentively to President Emmanuel Macron's speech, showing deep interest in the messages in the fields of science, technology and education that he shared during his visit to Vietnam.

Also at the event, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, French President Emmanuel Macron, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan and leaders of Sanofi and VNVC corporations pressed the button to start construction of the VNVC Vaccine and Biological Products Factory.

At the end of the event, President Emmanuel Macron expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and friendly sentiments from Vietnam as well as the school.
