Toyota Yaris Cross HEV NightShade saves fuel "in flesh and blood"

At the Motor EXPO 2025 exhibition, Toyota introduced the latest version of the Hybrid urban SUV line - the new Yaris Cross HEV NightShade 2026.

The newly launched Toyota Yaris Cross HEV NightShade 2026 in Thailand attracts attention thanks to its unique exterior design with a series of sporty black painted details, new Cement Gray Metallic paint color and many valuable upgrades, targeting young customers who love to stand out and modernity.

The highlight of the NightShade version is its completely different exterior appearance compared to the other versions. The car has a new Metro Stylish grille design, black front and rear bumpers, 18-inch glossy black alloy wheels, rearview mirrors, fog lamp surrounds, window surrounds, roof racks and rear spoiler are all painted in a uniform black.

The hood of the 2026 Toyota Yaris Cross HEV NightShade is also black, creating a striking contrast with the new Cement Gray Metallic paint color - an exclusive color option that has never appeared on the Yaris Cross before.

In terms of dimensions, the Yaris Cross HEV has an overall length of 4,310 mm, width of 1,770 mm, height of 1,615 mm, wheelbase of 2,620 mm and ground clearance of 210 mm - an ideal figure for urban traffic conditions. Fuel tank capacity is 36 liters.

The car uses a 1.5L hybrid powertrain coded 2NR-VEX, a 1,496 cc DOHC 4-cylinder gasoline engine producing 91 horsepower and 121 Nm of torque. Combined with an electric motor with 80 horsepower and 141 Nm, the total capacity reaches 111 horsepower.

Comes with an e-CVT automatic transmission, front-wheel drive and a 0.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. The car supports E20 fuel and is aimed at economical and environmentally friendly operation.

According to the specifications announced by the manufacturer, the new generation Toyota Yaris Cross HEV crossover can reach a maximum speed of 160 km/h and an impressive fuel consumption of only 26.3 km/liter (equivalent to 3.8 liters/100 km).

The interior remains similar to the existing hybrid versions, including basic driver assistance systems and amenities for everyday travel needs. Toyota usually does not cut equipment on special versions, so the Nightshade is mainly different in aesthetics.

The selling price of the Toyota Yaris Cross HEV in Thailand ranges from 789,000 baht (equivalent to 640 million VND) for the standard HEV Smart version, up to 849,000 baht (equivalent to 690 million VND) for the HEV Premium version.

The higher-end HEV Premium Luxury version with a panoramic sunroof costs 899,000 baht (730 million VND). Meanwhile, the newly launched NightShade version is priced at 919,000 baht (745 million VND).

The new Toyota Yaris Cross HEV 2026 will be offered by Toyota Thailand with a warranty policy of up to 5 years or 150,000 km for the entire vehicle and 10 years unlimited mileage for the hybrid battery system.
