Buon Ma Thuot City proposes to stop or temporarily suspend the planning of many projects in the area.

In order to avoid interrupting the management, investment, and socio-economic development of the locality and to save the state budget during the implementation of the rearrangement and reorganization of administrative units at all levels, the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City has just issued a document proposing the Provincial People's Committee to agree to stop or temporarily suspend the implementation of many planning projects in the city.

Specifically: The City proposes that the Provincial People's Committee agree to temporarily suspend the implementation of the General Planning Project of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province until 2045 until the completion of the administrative unit arrangement. After that, the Provincial People's Committee proposes that the Department of Construction be the investor to continue organizing the planning and studying the adjustment of the planning task approved by the Prime Minister in the direction of studying the rezoning of the development space of functional areas within the planning scope to ensure compliance with the administrative units after the arrangement.

At the same time, propose the Provincial People's Committee to consider and agree on the policy to extend the General Planning of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province to 2025 until the General Planning of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province to 2045 is approved.

An urban area is being formed in Buon Ma Thuot city.

The city also proposed the Provincial People's Committee to consider and agree to stop the implementation of: urban planning projects and construction planning that are not consistent with the urban space development orientation according to the General Planning of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province to 2025, which has been approved and is currently being implemented until the General Planning of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province to 2045 is approved; planning work for detailed planning projects at a scale of 1/500 located in the planning area for residential land for renovation and improvement according to the approved zoning planning projects at a scale of 1/2000; Urban Development Program of Buon Ma Thuot City for the period of 2016 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, and continue to study and implement after completing the arrangement of administrative units.

After the Provincial People's Committee agrees in principle to stop the implementation of urban planning projects and construction planning according to the above proposed content, the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City will coordinate with the provincial budget management unit to receive instructions on implementing procedures for payment and settlement of completed work volume and establishing procedures for contract liquidation according to regulations. During the implementation process, if any problems arise, are beyond the authority, the City People's Committee will promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and resolution.
