On August 15, Ho Chi Minh City 115 Emergency Center launched two new satellite emergency stations in Binh Duong (old), including satellite station 115 belonging to Binh Duong General Hospital and Military Hospital 4.
This is part of the roadmap for implementing Project 912 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on developing a professional outpatient emergency system by 2030.

Previously, emergency care in Binh Duong was handled by local medical units, lacking coordinated coordination. People often had to contact the nearest hospital directly, leading to differences in response speed and quality.
However, from July 1, 2025, all calls from Binh Duong residents to the 115 number will be routed to the Ho Chi Minh City 115 Emergency Center. This model helps information to be received, consulted and coordinated in a more centralized, professional and systematic manner.
Statistics in July 2025 (from July 1 to July 31), the system received about 9,000 calls, of which 452 were real emergency calls, an increase of 305% compared to the previous average number of calls (in the whole year of 2024, Binh Duong area only recorded 1,780 emergency calls).

Compared to the time before the merger, the number of ambulance departures increased by 40% (from 50 to 70), the number of patient visits increased by 19% and the number of hospital transfers increased by 9%.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Dr. Huynh Minh Chinh, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, emphasized that the satellite stations need to be carefully prepared in terms of human resources, facilities and equipment. In particular, it is necessary to standardize emergency care outside the hospital not only for medical staff in the emergency department but also for staff in clinical departments, ready to respond to all emergency situations, including mass casualties.
"With an increasingly expanding network, people will receive emergency medical support faster, reducing waiting time and increasing the chance of saving lives," affirmed Dr. Huynh Minh Chinh.
