Initial information, at around 8:30 pm the same day, a fire broke out at a 5-storey house at the corner of Ly Thai To - Ngo Gia Tu Street, Vuon Lai Ward. The fire is believed to have started on the second floor of the pawn shop, then quickly spread to the house next door, a fast food restaurant. Witnesses said that at that time there were many electric sparks and black smoke billowing.

The billboard and the air conditioner's condenser burned fiercely, plastic melted and walls fell onto the road, causing panic among passersby, who stopped their vehicles and fled. The Ly Thai To roundabout area was temporarily paralyzed due to the fire at a time when traffic was heavy.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Center (PC07 Department), Ho Chi Minh City Police dispatched many fire trucks and more than 30 officers and soldiers to the scene. Vuon Lai Ward Police and other functional forces quickly blocked off the area, assisted in rescue and prevented the fire from spreading. Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation also promptly cut off the power in the area to ensure safety for firefighting work.

The fire was completely extinguished at around 9 p.m. At the scene, the facades of both houses were scorched. The advertising signs and many devices and properties in the house were burned down. The roof, iron frames and some walls were peeling off, exposing the internal structure.
Fortunately, the fire did not cause any casualties. Authorities are assessing the damage and investigating the cause of the fire.
