On March 14, at the 14th Session (special session), the HCMC People's Council delegates voted to approve the Resolution on investment policy for the project to invest in a flexible traffic control system for main traffic axes in the city.

The project is invested by the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Traffic Management and Operation Center, with a total investment of nearly 180 billion VND, including a number of basic items and equipment such as: peripheral equipment; traffic signal control system; replacement of traffic signal cabinets, UPS cabinets; traffic data collection camera system; fixed body cameras...

The project implementation period is in two years 2024 - 2025.

Ho Chi Minh City spends more than 59 billion VND to invest in traffic control camera system

Also at the meeting, delegates of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council unanimously approved the policy of implementing the project to invest in adding a camera surveillance system to serve traffic control work in the city.

The project is invested by the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Traffic Management Center with a total cost of more than 59 billion VND from the city budget.

The project will be implemented in the period 2023 - 2025.

The People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City assigned the People's Committee of the city to take full responsibility before the People's Council of the city for the suitability and accuracy of the information and data in the project investment proposal dossier. During the project implementation process, it is necessary to ensure the project's consistency and not cause impacts on the surrounding environment.

At the same time, strengthen inspection and take responsibility for project progress and quality. The management and use of capital must ensure savings, efficiency, anti-corruption, negativity, timely balance of sufficient city budget capital to implement the project according to the approved progress, in accordance with legal regulations; not to allow arising problems during the implementation process leading to the need to adjust the project investment policy.
