TPO - The project is invested in to contribute to improving the efficiency of urban traffic management and operation in Ho Chi Minh City on the basis of applying modern technology according to the orientation of the City Party Committee and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to build Ho Chi Minh City into a smart city.
On March 14, at the 14th Session (special session), the HCMC People's Council delegates voted to approve the Resolution on the investment policy of the project to invest in a flexible traffic control system for main traffic axes in the city.
The project is invested by the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Traffic Management and Operation Center, with a total investment of nearly 180 billion VND, including a number of basic items and equipment such as: peripheral equipment; traffic signal control system; replacement of traffic signal cabinets, UPS cabinets; traffic data collection camera system; fixed body cameras, etc.
The project implementation period is in two years 2024 - 2025.

Ho Chi Minh City spends more than 59 billion VND to invest in traffic control camera system
Also at the meeting, delegates of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council unanimously approved the policy of implementing the project of investing in additional surveillance camera systems to serve traffic control work in the city.
The project is invested by the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Traffic Management Center with a total cost of more than 59 billion VND from the city budget.
The project will be implemented in the period 2023 - 2025.
The People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City assigns the People's Committee of the city to take full responsibility before the People's Council of the city for the suitability and accuracy of the information and data in the project investment proposal dossier. During the project implementation process, it is necessary to ensure the project's consistency and not cause impacts on the surrounding environment.
At the same time, strengthen inspection and take responsibility for project progress and quality. Management and use of capital must ensure savings, efficiency, prevent corruption and negativity, promptly balance sufficient city budget capital to implement the project according to the approved progress, in accordance with legal regulations; do not let problems arise during implementation leading to adjustments to the project investment policy.
