On the afternoon of June 12, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced instructions for grading three compulsory subjects of the 10th grade public entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year: Literature, Math and Foreign Language.
Previously, the Math exam received many comments about the lack of strictness in Physics knowledge in the practical application question (question number 5).
However, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Bao Quoc affirmed that with the mathematical knowledge and skills learned in the program, candidates can solve the requirements of the questions.
On the other hand, according to the regulations and marking instructions, cases where candidates have solutions that are different from the marking instructions but reasonable will be considered and evaluated.

In the 2022-2023 school year, the city will have 113,802 9th grade students taking the junior high school graduation exam, of which 96,325 will take the public 10th grade entrance exam. Of these, 88,237 students will register for regular 10th grade, 1,147 students will register for integrated courses, and 6,941 students will register for specialized courses.
The exam took place over two days, June 6 and 7, at 158 exam sites. Ho Chi Minh City mobilized 12,306 teachers to invigilate the exam and 2,370 staff to serve at the exam sites.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training is expected to announce the exam results on June 20. Candidates can submit their applications for review from June 21 to 24.
On June 24, this department announced the admission scores for specialized and integrated 10th graders and direct admission results.
On July 10, the standard scores for regular grade 10 admission and the list of candidates admitted to public high schools for the 2023-2024 school year will be announced simultaneously.
