The program takes place every night from August 28 to September 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the participation of art troupes from Ho Chi Minh City, performing 9 special themed programs: The quintessence of the Southern land, Reunion of folk songs, Homeland songs, Southern fragrance and color, Homeland pride, Country love song, Forever with time, Homeland soul, Homeland love song.
The performances were elaborately and vividly staged, recreating the journey of formation and development of Southern amateur music - a unique folk music genre, originating from ceremonial music and Hue royal court music, spreading with the footsteps of migrants to the Southern lands from the end of the 19th century.

The capital's audiences and tourists can enjoy many melodies in the system of 20 original songs such as: Luu Thuy Truong, Phu Luc, Tay Thi, Xuan Tinh, Co Ban, Binh Ban Chan ... along with famous vọng cổ songs and cai luong excerpts such as: Da Co Hoai Lang, Sau Vuong Y Nhac, Duyen Que, Tieng Trong Me Linh, Ben Cau Det Lua...
The program gathered many typical artists and artisans of the art of Southern amateur music, such as: Dr. Mai My Duyen, Master - Meritorious Artist Huynh Khai, Meritorious Artist Pham Van Mon, Meritorious Artist Hoang Kha, Meritorious Artist Le Tu, People's Artist Ut Ty, People's Artist Thanh Tuyet, along with artisans and artists: Ha Nhu, Lam Ha Hen, Thao Vy, Nguyen Thanh Tay, Lam My Duyen...
The presence of Southern amateur music at the country's important cultural event not only contributes to spreading national cultural values, but is also an opportunity to promote the beauty of the rich Southern identity to the public across the country and international friends.
