Effective application of AI helps improve productivity and work quality, contributing to administrative reform and modernization of the public health system.
On the morning of July 18, the opening ceremony of the project "AI Opportunities for Healthcare Workers" took place at Hanoi Medical University.
The project is implemented by VietHealth Joint Stock Company under the direction and guidance of the Department of Science, Technology and Training - Ministry of Health , with the sponsorship of the Vietnam Association for Research and Application of Biomedical Technology (VAMBRA) and the support of medical and pharmaceutical universities under the Ministry of Health .
Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Mai Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Training, Ministry of Health emphasized that in the context of the fourth industrial revolution taking place strongly, digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) are becoming indispensable tools in all fields, especially healthcare.
Effective application of AI not only helps improve productivity and work quality, but also contributes significantly to administrative reform and modernization of the public health system.

Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation clearly stated the requirements and tasks of widely implementing the digital learning movement, popularizing and improving digital knowledge among cadres, civil servants and people.
The Ministry of Health also issued Decision 878/QD-BYT & Decision 2121/QD-BYT to implement Resolution 30/NQ-CP and Resolution 71/NQ-CP of the Government implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW in the health sector.
In Vietnam, the program aims to train at least 15,000 medical staff in the 2025-2026 period, contributing to promoting the application of AI in medical examination and treatment, scientific research and medical administration.
The course is designed based on the Google AI Essentials platform, integrating international standard training content with Vietnamese healthcare industry practices. The program includes 5 main modules, led by Google's globally certified training experts.
The program focuses on essential skills such as: Optimizing work performance with AI tools; Designing effective commands to exploit AI; Applying AI responsibly and ethically; Grasping the development trends of AI in healthcare.
The project does not stop at equipping individuals with skills, but also aims to create a culture of innovation in the healthcare sector, promote sustainable digital transformation and improve the quality of healthcare for people.
The project also helps staff master the knowledge and skills needed to master AI technology and how to apply AI to their daily work. Thereby, improving labor productivity, shortening work processing time, reducing errors and creating creative innovations in the work process.
