On the evening of November 29, at Thai Binh Square (Hoang Dieu Ward, Thai Binh City), the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with Thai Binh Province to organize the 19th Luong Dinh Cua Award Ceremony and award the prize for the 2024 rural youth startup project competition.

In his opening speech, comrade Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union affirmed: The Luong Dinh Cua Award is a noble award of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, held annually to commend, honor and reward outstanding young people in production, business, start-ups, and businesses participating in socio-economic development, building new rural areas, implementing the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) program, transferring scientific and technological advances and protecting the environment. After 19 years of organization, the award has left many deep impressions on cadres, union members and young people nationwide, contributing to gradually enhancing the prestige of the award.

In 2024, among 89 young people from 56 provincial and municipal youth unions who submitted their applications, the Award Selection Council selected and awarded 36 outstanding young farmers with outstanding achievements in the fields of start-ups, research, and application of scientific and technological achievements to improve production and business efficiency. In addition, within the framework of the National Rural Youth Festival, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organized the 2024 Rural Youth Startup Project Competition. The competition was launched on March 25, 2024 and received 461 project applications from 63 provincial and municipal youth unions nationwide, including 84 projects registered by young people from 20 ethnic minorities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, praised the outstanding achievements of the Youth Union and youth movement in recent times; at the same time, congratulated the exemplary young people who were honored, who are examples of proactive, creative youth who strive to enrich themselves and their families and contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality.

To contribute youth to the country's development, bringing our country into a new era - the era of national growth, the Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front requested that young union members take the lead in national digital transformation, widely apply digital technology, the Internet, and artificial intelligence to all aspects of social life, especially digital transformation in agricultural production and rural economic development; boldly enter the production and business fields, creating products for society. Party committees, authorities, ministries, branches, central and local mass organizations continue to support and accompany young people in developing agricultural economy in the direction of organic agriculture, green agriculture, applying environmentally friendly production processes, rationally and economically using input materials and resources, respecting and applying natural laws to develop green and sustainable agriculture; Make the most of natural advantages in regions to develop agriculture, ensure adaptation to the ecological environment, form and develop youth production models in the direction of "green", low carbon, food safety, improve competitiveness in the regional and global agricultural product chain; pay more attention to youth and youth work, support and create the most favorable conditions for youth in general, rural youth in particular, to contribute their strength, talent, intelligence, and proactively participate in socio-economic development. Youth organizations and associations accompany union members and youth right from the stage of thinking, nurturing ideas; building and implementing production and business models and projects; accessing markets, participating in product supply chains; at the same time, doing a good job of praising, rewarding, replicating good models, creative ways of doing things, encouraging union members and youth to engage in production and business, especially in the fields of agriculture and rural economic development.
