Giving gifts to support families affected by natural disasters in Thuy Lieu commune

Visiting the affected households in Thuy Lieu commune, comrade Nguyen Luu Trung shared and encouraged people to try to overcome difficulties, and at the same time sent to the partially damaged households material support of 5 million VND for families whose houses collapsed, and 3 million VND in case of houses with damaged roofs.

Regarding the case of two people, including an elderly person and a child, injured by the circulation of storm No. 2 who are being treated at Kien Giang General Hospital, Comrade Nguyen Luu Trung informed that the Provincial People's Committee has directed Kien Giang General Hospital to monitor and care for them to recover their health quickly. Comrade Nguyen Luu Trung acknowledged the efforts and timeliness of the Party Committee and authorities of Go Quao district and Thuy Lieu commune in supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters; requested Go Quao district to properly implement the information and reporting regime on damage and people affected by the storm, promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee to have timely directions to help people quickly return to normal life.

Due to the impact of storm No. 2, from July 29 to 31, Go Quao district experienced heavy rain and strong winds, affecting people's lives and production. The entire district had 8 collapsed houses and 11 houses with their roofs blown off; in which Thuy Lieu commune was severely affected, storms and whirlwinds injured 3 people, collapsed 6 houses, and blew off the roofs of 10 houses.
