- On the morning of May 20, the Departmentof Education and Training organized the Ethnic Cultural Festival for ethnic minority boarding schools in the province for the 2023-2024 school year. This is the first year the event has been held, aiming to create a useful and practical cultural playground for ethnic minority students in the province.

Attending the festival were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; representatives of the Provincial Youth Union; leaders of the Department of Education and Training, representatives of the Department of Education and Training of districts and cities.

The festival took place from May 19 to 21. More than 400 students representing 10 ethnic minority boarding secondary schools in the province attended the festival.

Leaders of the Department of Education and Training presented souvenir flags to units participating in the festival.

With the theme “Traditional cultural education for boarding students”, the festival took place with many rich and attractive activities such as: traditional festival dramatization, national costume performance, cultural race, “Cultural memory wall” experience… each content clearly demonstrated creativity, dynamism, and at the same time aroused national pride and solidarity among students.

The festival is organized to improve the management capacity of school leaders, foster the capacity of teachers in comprehensive education for students of ethnic minority boarding schools, especially education on cultural traditions, ethics, life skills; raise awareness of managers, teachers, and students about preserving and promoting the traditional cultural beauty of ethnic groups associated with specific actions and deeds.

At the same time, strengthen exchanges and learning experiences between ethnic boarding schools in the province and between ethnic boarding schools and secondary schools in the city; create a healthy and useful playground and connect secondary school students between ethnic boarding schools; strengthen coordination between schools, families and society in the education of secondary school boarding students.
