- On the afternoon of May 21, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son city held the inauguration ceremony and handover of the project to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Lang Son city, phase 1, 2025.
Attending the program were Comrade P Hung Quang Hoi, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses and developing social housing in Lang Son city ; Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee , and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son city; representatives of specialized departments and offices; representatives of sponsors...
The two housing projects inaugurated and handed over this time include: Mrs. Phan Thi Lam's house, Quang Hong village, Quang Lac commune and Mrs. Hai Thi Ty's house, block 4, Dong Kinh ward. These are all households with extremely difficult circumstances, living in temporary and seriously degraded housing conditions, selected by the city's steering committee to receive support of 60 million VND/house from the fund for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Lang Son city. At the same time, the Party committees and authorities of communes and wards have actively mobilized support resources from enterprises (Lang Son Production and Trade Joint Stock Company supported Mrs. Hai Thi Ty's family with 50 million VND) to complete the housing.
After a period of urgent construction, up to now, both housing projects have been completed, spacious, ensuring living conditions.
At the families, Comrade Phung Quang Hoi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Lang Son City Party Committee affirmed that eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is an activity of profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the sentiments of the Party Committee, government and people of the city in caring for the poor, policy families, people with revolutionary contributions, and households with difficult housing circumstances. He requested that the members of the Steering Committee, according to their assigned functions and tasks, continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, together with the wards and communes, review and speed up the completion of the projects in May 2025 .
At the families, representatives of the city, commune, ward leaders and sponsors presented gifts, congratulated the families, and hoped that the people would continue to strive to improve and stabilize their lives. During the program, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Phung Van Hieu, a family with especially difficult circumstances in Quang Hong village, Quang Lac commune .
Box: Responding to the emulation movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son City have called on businesses, agencies, organizations, groups, and individuals inside and outside the city to join hands and contribute funds and resources. Up to now, the whole city has mobilized over 1.2 billion VND to support families to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with a total of 19 houses, of which 14 are newly built and 5 are repaired.
After more than a month of construction, from April 15 to now, the city has completed 8/19 houses. The remaining houses have been basically completed and are being urgently completed, with the determination to hand over and put into use in May 2025 as planned.
