Awarding the 'Brave Youth' badge to a union member who saved a 7-year-old child from drowning

On the morning of October 14, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai Dang, Deputy Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Council, said that, authorized by the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, the Provincial Youth Union had just awarded the "Brave Youth" Badge to Mr. Ho Quoc Hieu (born in 2000, a member of the Youth Union of Vong Son village, Huong Son commune) for his brave act of saving a drowning person.

Previously, on the afternoon of September 30, while passing through Pho Giang spillway (Huong Son commune), Mr. Hieu discovered Nguyen Bao Khang (7 years old) being swept away by floodwaters. Without hesitation, he jumped into the rushing water and promptly brought Khang safely to shore.

The brave action of Mr. Ho Quoc Hieu not only contributes to spreading the spirit of living beautifully and usefully among union members and youth, but is also a clear demonstration of the bravery, compassion, and spirit of vanguard and readiness to act for the community of Ha Tinh youth.

In recognition of that brave act, Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union awarded a Certificate of Merit to Ho Quoc Hieu for his brave act of saving a drowning person.
