The Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control said: As of 7:00 a.m. on October 16, due to the impact of floods after storm No. 11, there are still 6,413 customers without power, including 2,512 houses in Thai Nguyen, 3,427 houses in Bac Ninh, 444 houses in Lang Son, and 30 houses in Cao Bang; 835 houses are still flooded (314 in Bac Ninh, 521 in Hanoi). 10/92 communes in Thai Nguyen province have lost telecommunications network connection.
Previously, on October 15, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control received a shipment worth about 322,000 USD from the Australian Government, including 756 personal hygiene kits, 320 kitchenware sets, 300 blankets, and 756 home repair kits; the goods were transported and handed over to Bac Ninh province.
On the same day, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection organized a working group to survey and assess the damage caused by storm No. 11 and direct post-storm production recovery, promoting winter crop production in Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh provinces.
Currently, localities are continuing to review and synthesize remedial work.
